Adele Dubstep 12/12/12

Today I added a piano for the verse and used automation and echo to make it build up and lead into a drop

Dustep

I'm sad to say that this dubstep track is growing on me... I used automation on the master track to make it become quieter prior to the build up, to then become louder again to give the build up more of a boost

Dragging notes into place

Instead of quantising all the notes and making it sound very computer generated, i decided to drag all the notes into place and drag the length of the notes to where I want them using the piano roll

The Model- Kraftwerk

Today we were doing kraftwerk by the model.. The note input is the easy part and i've done the intro and the first verse so far, the difficulty comes when you try to change the synth into the sound that you want, and that's where my work is being let down. This is what it looks like so far.

Remix of Adele into Dubshit

I used automation in the intro for a build up, then a single snare for s mini-drop into the verse, then used 2 synths at different rates to create a slow and a faster synth, then had another mini-drop into a relaxed section with just synth and claps, similar to 'Pour your love' by Benga. I'm going to go into another drop into the chorus and then who knows.

Dubshit

So we did a dubstep 'song'.... LFO's sound best
with LFO1 on a sine wave, LFO2 wave on pulse2, both down an octave.

Used multipress to make the bass sound deeper.

Simplistic beat, 70bmp, wobble bass repeated structure...

Not sure how to get a pitch shifting sound for a build up, but I want one.
